Working Together

Each year, millions of penguins in the Southern hemisphere migrate towards their breeding colonies to form a rookery. Penguins are usually monogamous birds remaining in pairs, but often eat, swim, hunt and nest in groups in order to survive some of the harshest elements on earth. Working together, penguins hunting in groups seem to be more successful finding their prey than alone, as well as warding off attacks by predators in the water.
